Popup Editor

Popup Editor is add-on application for xHTML Editor and allows configuring windows, which appear after the website user clicks on the link, which is marked as "open in new window".

Popup Editor works in Simple and Advanced modes, if you need just to open the link in a new window use Simple mode, if you need to open the link in a new window and provide some special instructions for this window, use Advanced mode.

Using Popup Editor in Simple mode.

  1. In the xHTML Editor select the link to open in a new window, by putting a marker over it.
  2. Click Popup Editor button , Popup Editor opens in Simple mode.
  3. Click OK button.

Using Popup Editor in Advanced mode.

  1. In the xHTML Editor select the link to open in a new window, by putting a marker over it.
  2. Click Popup Editor button , Popup Editor opens in Simple mode.
  3. Click Advanced mode radio button.
  4. Fill in the following fields:
    • URL – necessary field. The link to the new window; you can specify external link by writing in the absolute link to the page (with http://), or select a page from the SiteMap, by clicking âÀ¦ button.
    • Name – optional field. This field is used if you have several pages that should open in a same new window, i.e. when user clicks on links in that main window and new pages are opening in the same pop-up window, changing one another, rather than opening in new popup windows. To create this behavior you should give the same name to all popup links on the main page.
    • Title – optional field. It provides alternative text title for the link.
    • Size and Position - optional fields. You may detail the position of the popup window on the screen in pixels.
    • Parameters - optional fields.
      • Channel Mode – MS IE feature, opens full-screen, not resizable window.
      • Menu bar – cross-browser, opens window with main menu.
      • Location – cross-browser, opens window with address bar.
      • Tool bar – cross-browser, opens window with tool bar.
      • Directories – MS IE feature, opens window with links bar.
      • Resizable – cross-browser, allows resizing.
      • Status bar – cross-browser, opens window with status bar (on WinXP could be locked by the system).
      • Title bar – cross-browser, opens window with title bar (could be locked by the system).
      • Fullscreen – cross-browser, opens full screen window.
      • Scroll Bars – cross-browser, opens window with scroll bars.
      • Channel Mode, Directories and Fullscreen are incompatible among themselves, the rest complement each other.
