Anchor editor

Anchor Editor is add-on application for xHTML Editor and allows creating links to sections of the actual page. This is especially convenient when you have one long page with many sections and want the users to see all section titles on top of the page and navigate to the required title by clicking it.

Anchors idea is that you put a special navigation mark (an anchor) somewhere in the page and then create a link to this anchor.

Using anchors

  1. In xHTML Editor select the place in the text for your anchor by marking the required word or a sentence.
  2. Click Anchor Editor button . Anchor Editor opens.
  3. Provide a name for your anchor, click OK. The anchor is placed and marked with anchor sign.
  4. Now go to the location where you would like to create a link to your newly created anchor. That location could be both on the same page with the anchor, or on any other page in the site.
  5. Write the name of the link to the anchor, mark it and click links button . SiteMap opens.
  6. In the SiteMap, in the Link properties click Advanced mode.
    • If you put a link to the anchor located on the same page you will see a drop-down in the Anchor property. Select the required anchor and click OK. The link is created.
    • If you put a link to the anchor located on another page, you should selected the page in the SiteMap first, then type in the name of the anchor in the Anchor property input field.
